Sawadee!
Welcome to Emerald of Siam!
The Emerald of Siam was founded in 1983 by sisters Ravadi Quinn and Sunanta Kulthol. With financial support from their loving parents, the Thai women were able to convert what was a small cafe in Thrifty Drug into a tiny little Thai restaurant. The very first Thai restaurant in the Tri-Cities!
The Emerald has seen many changes in the last 20 years, - what was just a few booths and a couple of tables eventually expanded all the way to the wall of the Uptown movie theater two doors down.
The Emerald has housed large banquet rooms, an import business, gift shop, and even an oriental grocery store at times. We have since settled at our current capacity of 100 guests.
Sunanta has retired in Thailand, and three of Ravadi's five children - Dara, Bill, and Suzanne have joined the regular staff of the Emerald.
(Note: See Bill's artwork on display throughout the restaurant, catch Dara's live piano performances at the Emerald every
week or buy her
CD's here, and witness Suzy's dance choreography in local theater productions.)
